Rooted in nationwide civil rights advocacy, dedicated to local community empowerment.
On June 6, 2025, a dedicated group of community leaders, advocates, and residents gathered to officially vote on and establish the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Council #3312. Also recognized as the LULAC Bakersfield Communities Council #3312, our organization was formed to address the unique needs of Latino individuals and families throughout Bakersfield and the broader Kern County region.

National Mission
The Mission of the League of United Latin American Citizens is to advance the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, housing, health, and civil rights of the Latino population of the United States.

Local Vision (Bakersfield Communities Council #3312)
The Vision of LULAC Council #3312 is to further the LULAC National Mission while focusing directly on the pressing needs of our local Kern County community. We drive targeted progress across six strategic pillars:
Public Safety
Partnering with community members and local agencies to foster safe, supportive neighborhoods.
Immigration Rights
Providing education, advocacy, and resources to protect vulnerable individuals and families.
Youth Empowerment
Mentoring the next generation of Latino leaders through structured youth programming and civic engagement.
Environmental Justice
Advocating for clean air, safe drinking water, and equitable environmental policies in Kern County communities.
Civic Engagement & Advocacy
Promoting nonpartisan voter education, community awareness, and grassroots civic leadership across Kern County.
Quality Education
Promoting high school completion, higher education enrollment, ensure degree attainment, and accessible financial aid.
